With the rapid development of communication technology and radio and television technology, cable TV network is changing to the next generation broadcasting network. With the urgent need of business development and the integration of three networks, users have put forward higher requirements for the quality and carrying capacity of CATV network. The cable network needs to be digitalized and bidirectional. Therefore, HUAWEI Technology Co., Ltd. launched SmartAX MA5633 distributed CMTS terminal equipment (hereinafter referred to as MA5633). MA5633 is mainly used in the construction scenario of PON+D-CMTS (hereinafter referred to as optiCables). It can effectively solve the bandwidth bottleneck problem of radio and television access, and satisfy users' demand for triple play.
MA5633 includes two kinds of built-in optical machine and no built-in optical machine.
Up direction: CM receives the Ethernet data message from the user terminal device, modulates the Ethernet data service to a certain band that can be transmitted by the CATV coaxial network through the DOCSIS technology, and transmissions through the CATV coaxial network to MA5633. MA5633 demodulates the received Ethernet data modulation signal to the Ethernet data service, through the PON network. The collaterals are transmitted to OLT.
Down direction: MA5633 access the Ethernet data service from OLT through the PON interface. In the configuration without the built-in optical machine, the CATV signal (including CATV stream or CATV+VoD media stream) is connected through the RF_IN interface, and the modulation and mixing of the CATV signal and Ethernet data signal is completed on the mixer board; in the configuration containing the built-in optical machine, The built-in optical machine converts the optical signal transmitted by the optical transmitter to the electrical signal that can be transmitted on the Cables, and then sends it to the mixer board and the CMTS downlink signal to merge. Finally, the MA5633 sends the signals after mixing to the CM through the CATV coaxial network. CM filters different bands through filters to restore Ethernet data services.
High-bandwidth, multi-service: Gigabit to building, 100M to home. The downlink can provide 16 frequency points and the uplink provides 4 frequency points. Provide home users with CATV, HSI, VOD and other services, support L2VPN at the same time, support enterprise access and Wifi hotspot coverage, and perfectly support PacketCables.
Compatible with HFC live network: Compatible with existing network CM and OSS systems; built-in power doubler to reduce equipment insertion loss, ensure that coaxial distribution network does not change; ensure zero change of HFC network.
Aggregation management: Aggregation management can shield the PON interface between the OLT and CMC devices. The CMC device does not need to be managed as an independent network element, reducing network maintenance OPEX.
Highly-integrated optical station: The MA5633 integrates ONU, CMTS processing module, power doubler, mixer, and receiver optical unit, which greatly simplifies construction and installation, and is easy to maintain.
Co-platform networking with FTTx: Distributed CMTS (D-CMTS) supports FTTx common platform, common architecture, and common network management to meet operators' multiple access methods and can smoothly transition to FTTH.
