User login-Huawei switch password modification

When you log in to the switch, your friends can keep an eye on the current switch which version and login. The version is different or the login method is different. The default password may be different. By default, the Telnet user is not configured on the device. You need to configure the Telnet user. If the partners log in to the switch using the console port, there is no default password value.

Thugs2: What if I forgot my password?

ØIf the friends have not changed the default password of the switch, the password is forgotten. The above table is easy to solve~

ØIf the friends change the default password, and there is a default password, you can solve it by restoring the password. However, be aware that the method of restoring passwords in different login modes is different.

The operation interface of different switches may be different.

1.Restore ConsolePort Login Password

Method 1: Log in to the switch through Telnet to change the password of the console port.

If the buddy has a Telnet account and has administrator privileges, you can log in to the switch through Telnet and change the password of the console port, and then save the configuration.

Step 1: Log in to the switch with a Telnet account.

Step 2: Change the password of the Console user.

To change to password authentication, the password is “Huawei@123” for example.

system-view

[HUAWEI]user-interface console 0

[HUAWEI-ui-console0]authentication-mode password

[HUAWEI-ui-console0]set authentication password cipher Huawei@123

[HUAWEI-ui-console0]return

Step 3: Save the configuration with the save command to prevent configuration loss after reboot.

Method 2: After clearing the console port password through BootROM, change the password of the console port.

//// If the switch is dual-master, the small partners need to unplug the standby main control board before restarting the switch. After the following operations are performed, insert the standby main control board and execute it. The save operation ensures that the configuration of the active main control board and the standby main control board are the same. ////

The BootROM of the switch provides the function of clearing the password of the console port. You can skip the password check when you log in using the console port. After the switch is started, change the password of the console port and save the configuration.

Step 1: Connect the switch through the console port and restart the switch. When “Press Ctrl+B to enter Boot Menu...” appears, press the key combination “Ctrl+B” and enter the BootROM password (default is “Admin@huawei.com”). BootROM main menu.

Step 2: Select “Clear password for console user> in the BootROM main menu to clear the console port login password.

Step 3: According to the prompt of the switch, select “Boot with default mode” under the BootROM main menu to start the device. ////You can't choose "Reboot" by your own imagination, otherwise the password will be invalidated.

Step 4: After the system is started, you do not need to perform authentication when you log in through the console port. After you log in, configure the password of the console port to change to password authentication and change the password to "Huawei@123". For example.

system-view

[HUAWEI]user-interface console 0

[HUAWEI-ui-console0]authentication-mode password

[HUAWEI-ui-console0]set authentication password cipher Huawei@123

[HUAWEI-ui-console0]return

Step 5: Save the configuration with the save command to prevent configuration loss after reboot.

2.Restore TelnetSign in password

The telnet login password is lost. You can log in to the switch through other methods (for example, the console port) and reconfigure it.

Step 1: Log in to the switch by other means, such as Console.

Step 2: Change the user password.

Configure the AAA authentication mode for VTY0~4. The original user name is huawei” and the password is configured as “Huawei@123”.

system-view

[HUAWEI]user-interface vty 0 4

[HUAWEI-ui-vty0-4]authentication-mode aaa

[HUAWEI-ui-vty0-4]quit

[HUAWEI]aaa

[HUAWEI-aaa]local-user huawei password irreversible-cipher Huawei@123

[HUAWEI-aaa]local-user huawei service-type telnet

[HUAWEI-aaa]local-user huawei privilege level 3

3.Recover WebLogin Password

If the login password is lost, you can log in to the switch through other methods (for example, the console port) and reconfigure the configuration.

Step 1: Log in to the switch by other means, such as Console.

Step 2: Change the user password.

In AAA authentication mode, the user name is “huawei”, and the modified password is “Huawei@123”.

system-view

[HUAWEI] aaa

[HUAWEI-aaa] local-user huawei password irreversible-cipher Huawei@123

[HUAWEI-aaa] local-user huawei service-type http

[HUAWEI-aaa] local-user huawei privilege level 3

4.Recover BootROMLogin Password

Log in to the switch through the console port to reset the BootROM password.

Step 1: Log in to the switch through the console port.

Step 2: Use the command reset boot password to restore the BootROM password to the default password in any view (default is Admin@huawei.com).

Step 3: Restart the switch in the user view with the command reboot.

Step 4: When the reboot appears, "Press Ctrl+B to enter Boot Menu...", when printing a message, press the key combination “Ctrl +B”, enter the default password and enter the BootROM main menu.

Step 5: Select “Modify BootROM password> in the BootROM main menu and follow the prompts to change the password.
