Cisco Catalyst 1300 24-Port PoE+ 4x1G SFP 195W Switch C1300-24P-4G

The Cisco Catalyst C1300-24P-4G is a fanless 24-port Gigabit PoE+ switch for small offices, clinics and retail sites. The Catalyst 1300 line succeeds Cisco's earlier small-business switches. It adds Layer 3 features and management through Cisco Business Dashboard, and it does not use Cisco DNA licensing.

All 24 RJ45 ports support PoE (802.3af) and PoE+ (802.3at) from a 195W budget, which is about 8W per port with all 24 drawing at once. That suits phones and a few access points. For heavier loads, Cisco offers a higher-power 24-port version, the C1300-24FP-4G, which is a different model. Four 1G SFP ports handle uplinks. Cisco rates the switch at 56 Gbps switching capacity and 41.67 Mpps forwarding.

Because it is fanless, the switch is silent and suits rooms where people work. On the Layer 3 side it supports IPv4/IPv6 static routing, RIP v2, policy-based routing and a DHCP server, but not OSPF, which is limited to the C1300X models. Management options are the web interface, a full CLI, the Cisco Business mobile app and Cisco Business Dashboard. Cisco's stackable-model list for the C1300 series does not include this SKU, so treat it as a standalone switch.

Before ordering, check that the 195W PoE budget covers your devices. Cisco support and service entitlements generally do not transfer with resold hardware without Cisco's approval, the same as Cisco software licenses, so confirm the coverage you need directly with Cisco.
