Overview
The Cisco Catalyst C9300L-48P-4X-E is the fixed-uplink version of the 48-port Catalyst 9300. Instead of a network module slot, it has four fixed 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks, which lowers the cost while keeping the C9300 hardware platform, dual power supply bays and field-replaceable fans.
With the default PWR-C1-715WAC-P power supply, the switch provides 505W of PoE. A second supply raises it to 855W with a 350W unit, 1220W with a 715W unit, or 1440W with an 1100W unit. Cisco lists two PWR-C1-1100WAC-P units, or one 1100W plus one 715W, for full PoE+ on all 48 ports. Cisco rates the switch at 176 Gbps switching (496 Gbps stacked) and 130.95 Mpps.
Stacking is optional. StackWise-320 connects up to 8 C9300L switches at 320 Gbps using the C9300L-STACK-KIT or C9300L-STACK-KIT2. StackPower is not supported on the C9300L. It runs Cisco IOS XE and can be managed from the CLI, the WebUI or Cisco Catalyst Center. Three field-replaceable fans (FAN-T2=) run N+1 redundant.
Before ordering, check whether you need stacking, since the kit is separate. Cisco software licenses (Network Essentials/Advantage and Cisco DNA subscriptions) and Smart Net support generally do not transfer with resold hardware without Cisco's approval. Cisco's datasheet makes a DNA or Catalyst subscription mandatory when ordering new, so plan your licensing before deployment.
