The Micron MTFDKCC3T2TFS-1BC1ZABYY is a 3.2TB 7450 MAX drive, Micron's mixed-use PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD in the 2.5-inch U.3 form factor at 15mm height. It uses the same controller and 176-layer 3D TLC NAND as the 7450 PRO, but sets aside more spare flash, which is why it shows 3.2TB instead of 3.84TB and carries a higher write rating of three drive writes per day.
That extra headroom matters for jobs that write constantly: transactional databases, write-back caching tiers, message queues, log ingestion, and virtual machine stores with busy guests. Micron rates the 3.2TB model at 17,500 TB written, roughly 390,000 random 4K write IOPS and about 500,000 IOPS on a 70/30 read/write mix, while sequential speeds match the PRO at up to 6,800 MB/s read and 5,300 MB/s write. If your data is mostly read and rarely rewritten, the 3.84TB 7450 PRO gives more capacity for the money.
The U.3 interface shares the SFF-8639 connector with U.2 and is meant to work in tri-mode U.3 bays and most U.2 NVMe bays. Older backplanes that only wire SAS or SATA will not run an NVMe drive. This is the non-SED version, and it ships as a bare drive with no carrier. Branded servers from Dell, HPE or Lenovo usually need the vendor's tray, and their management tools may report non-OEM firmware.

The MAX models reserve more flash as spare area. That lowers usable capacity and raises the write rating to three drive writes per day, compared with one for the 3.84TB 7450 PRO.
Mixed and write-heavy work such as OLTP databases, caching layers, log ingestion and busy virtual machine stores, where data is rewritten often.
Yes. Micron lists MTFDKCC3T2TFS-1BC15ABYY as the TCG Opal SED version. This part, ending in 1BC1ZABYY, is the non-SED drive.
No. It is an NVMe drive and needs a bay wired for PCIe, either a U.2/U.3 NVMe backplane or a tri-mode controller that supports NVMe.
