Cisco Catalyst 9200L 48-Port PoE+ 4x10G SFP+ Uplink Switch C9200L-48P-4X-E

The Cisco Catalyst C9200L-48P-4X-E is a 48-port PoE+ access switch with four fixed 10G uplinks. It is a common choice for campus and branch closets that need 10G toward distribution but not the modular uplinks or larger stack bandwidth of the C9300.

All 48 ports support PoE+. The default PWR-C5-1KWAC power supply gives 740W of PoE, and a second PWR-C5-1KWAC raises it to 1440W, which is enough for all 48 ports at full PoE+ and also adds redundancy. The four SFP+ uplinks run at 1G or 10G. Cisco rates the switch at 176 Gbps switching capacity and 130.95 Mpps forwarding. The fans are fixed and redundant.

StackWise-80 connects up to 8 C9200L switches using the C9200L-STACK-KIT, which is a separate item. Members must be C9200L models at the same license level. It runs Cisco IOS XE with the Network Essentials license, which covers Layer 2 switching and basic routing (static, RIP and OSPF routed access). You can manage it from the CLI, the built-in WebUI or Cisco Catalyst Center, or monitor it from the Meraki dashboard.

Licensing needs attention on a resale purchase. Cisco software licenses (Network Essentials/Advantage and Cisco DNA subscriptions) and Smart Net support generally do not transfer with resold hardware without Cisco's approval. Plan to buy a new Cisco DNA (Catalyst) subscription and support contract through Cisco or a Cisco partner if you need them, and confirm what is required for your software version before deploying.
