Overview
The Cisco Catalyst C9300-24P-A is a 24-port PoE+ switch from Cisco's main enterprise access line. The -A suffix means it is ordered at the Network Advantage license tier, which adds advanced routing and other features beyond Network Essentials. It suits campus access and small distribution roles where you want modular uplinks and high stack bandwidth.
With the default PWR-C1-715WAC-P power supply, the switch provides 445W of PoE. Adding a second supply raises the budget to 720W, which covers all 24 ports at full PoE+. Cisco lists either one PWR-C1-1100WAC-P or two 715W units for that. The uplinks are modular: network module options include C9300-NM-4G, C9300-NM-4M, C9300-NM-8X, C9300-NM-2Q and C9300-NM-2Y. Cisco rates the switch at 208 Gbps (688 Gbps stacked) and 154.76 Mpps.
StackWise-480 stacks up to 8 members at 480 Gbps, and StackPower lets stack members share power. It runs Cisco IOS XE and can be managed from the CLI, the WebUI or Cisco Catalyst Center. Three field-replaceable fans (FAN-T2=) run N+1 redundant.
Before ordering, confirm whether a network module and stacking cables are included, because they are separate items. Cisco software licenses (Network Essentials/Advantage and Cisco DNA subscriptions) and Smart Net support generally do not transfer with resold hardware without Cisco's approval. Cisco's datasheet makes a DNA or Catalyst subscription mandatory when ordering new, so plan how you will license the switch.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Network Advantage license or Smart Net transfer with a resold unit?
Cisco software licenses (Network Essentials/Advantage and Cisco DNA subscriptions) and Smart Net support generally do not transfer with resold hardware without Cisco's approval. Contact Cisco or a Cisco partner about licensing before deployment.
What does -A mean in C9300-24P-A?
It is the Network Advantage license tier. The -E version uses Network Essentials.
How do I reach full PoE+ on all 24 ports?
Cisco lists one PWR-C1-1100WAC-P, or two PWR-C1-715WAC-P units, for a 720W PoE budget.
Are uplink ports included?
Uplinks are modular through a network module such as the C9300-NM-8X. Check the listing to see whether a module is included.
