The Dell PowerEdge R650 is the 1U, two-socket server from Dell's 15th generation. It suits buyers who want more cores, more memory channels and PCIe Gen4 than an R640 gives, while staying on DDR4 memory. Typical uses are dense virtualization, database and analytics nodes, and scale-out clusters.
It supports one or two 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 40 cores each. There are 32 DDR4 DIMM slots, eight memory channels per processor, running at up to 3200 MT/s. Dell lists a maximum of 2TB with RDIMMs or 8TB with LRDIMMs, and up to 16 slots can hold Intel Persistent Memory 200 series modules. This listing is the 8 x 2.5-inch chassis, whose bays take SAS, SATA or NVMe drives; 10 x 2.5-inch and 4 x 3.5-inch versions also exist. Controllers are the PERC H345, H355, H745, H755 and H755N, the HBA355i, and S150 software RAID. A BOSS-S2 card adds two M.2 boot SSDs.
The R650 has two 1GbE LAN-on-motherboard ports and one OCP 3.0 slot for a faster network card. It offers up to three low-profile PCIe Gen4 slots or two full-height slots. Dell lists 800W, 1100W and 1400W AC power supplies and an 1100W DC unit. iDRAC9 provides remote management.
ICT Devices quotes the R650 as you specify it. Have these details ready.

3rd Generation Xeon Scalable processors with up to 40 cores, 32 DIMM slots instead of 24, PCIe Gen4, and an OCP 3.0 network slot in place of the older network daughter card.
DDR4 registered ECC memory at up to 3200 MT/s. DDR5 arrives with the R660.
Dell lists 2TB with RDIMMs or 8TB with LRDIMMs across 32 slots. The largest configurations need two processors and DIMM sizes that are costly, so tell us your target capacity.
Yes. Dell lists the 8 x 2.5in front bays for SAS, SATA or NVMe. The backplane and controller in a specific unit decide what it accepts, so state your drive type when you request a quote.
