HPE P43331-B21 64GB DDR5-4800 2Rx4 RDIMM Smart Memory Kit

HPE P43331-B21 is the 64GB member of HPE's DDR5-4800 Smart Memory family for Intel-based ProLiant Gen11 servers. It is a single dual-rank DIMM built on 16Gb x4 DRAM, with CAS 40-39-39 timings, EC8 error correction and 1.1V operation. HPE PartSurfer gives P48502-001 as the spare number.

HPE's server QuickSpecs list the kit for the ProLiant DL380 Gen11 and DL320 Gen11, and the DDR5 memory QuickSpecs list it under Intel-based servers only. For AMD EPYC Gen11 models HPE sells a separate 64GB 2Rx4 kit, P50312-B21. The module runs at 4800 MT/s, which is the top memory speed of 4th Gen Xeon Scalable processors. Installed alongside 5600 MT/s kits, everything runs at 4800.

Before ordering:

• Keep x4 modules apart from x8 modules such as the 32GB P43328-B21. HPE's Gen11 QuickSpecs advise against mixing them.
• Use the same capacity and rank in each channel where possible, following the server's population guide.
• Check whether the server has an Intel or AMD processor before choosing a part number.

Hosts running many virtual machines or in-memory databases often standardize on 64GB modules because they reach large totals without filling every slot. As HPE Smart Memory, this kit is recognized by the server firmware as a genuine HPE part, and third-party modules are not validated by HPE. ICT Devices can quote it alone or as part of a Gen11 build.
