Overview
The HPE Aruba CX 6200F JL727B is a stackable 48-port PoE access switch. It sits between the standalone CX 6100 and the higher-capacity CX 6300. Choose it when you want several closet switches managed as one unit without paying for 25G or 50G uplinks.
The 48 RJ45 Gigabit ports support Class 4 PoE at up to 30W per port, from a 370W total budget. That covers a typical office load of phones and APs. If you plan to power many cameras or high-draw APs, the 740W sibling (JL728A/JL728B) gives more headroom. Four SFP+ ports take 100M, 1G or 10G optics for uplinks or stacking links.
Through VSF you can stack up to 8 members. A stack of 6200F switches can also include 6200M models; only the 12-port 6200F stacks separately. The power supply and fans are fixed on the 6200F, so there are no modules to order. The switch runs AOS-CX with ACLs, QoS, static routing and access OSPF, plus the Network Analytics Engine, Dynamic Segmentation and Multi-Edit configuration tools. HPE Aruba Networking Central manages the 24- and 48-port 6200 models with a Class 2 subscription.
JL727B is the current B revision of this model. Its ports and PoE budget are listed the same as the original JL727A, but HPE has not published what changed. If you mix revisions in a stack, confirm the AOS-CX firmware support first.

Frequently asked questions
How many 6200F switches can be stacked?
Up to 8 with VSF. The stack can include 6200M models as well; only the 12-port 6200F stacks separately.
What is the PoE budget?
370W, with up to 30W (Class 4) on any single port. The JL728 version provides 740W.
What is the difference between JL727A and JL727B?
HPE lists the B revision with the same ports and 370W budget and now sells it as the current model. HPE has not published a detailed change list, so check firmware support before mixing revisions in one stack.
