HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 2U 24x 2.5in SFF Xeon Scalable Server (Refurbished)

The 24 SFF HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10, HPE chassis 868704-B21, fills the whole front of the 2U server with 2.5-inch bays. Buyers choose it for all-flash or hybrid storage, hyperconverged nodes and databases that need many spindles or SSDs close to the processors.

It takes one or two 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 28 cores each. Memory is 24 DDR4 DIMM slots with a 3.0TB maximum using 128GB LRDIMMs at 2933 MT/s. The 24 front bays accept SAS and SATA drives, and an optional six-bay SFF rear cage takes the total to 30 drives. For hardware RAID across 24 bays, the Smart Array P816i-a offers 16 internal lanes; the E208i-a and P408i-a have eight lanes each. The embedded S100i controller provides software RAID on SATA drives.

The 868704-B21 chassis includes the embedded 4 x 1GbE 331i adapter and a FlexibleLOM slot. Three PCIe 3.0 slots are standard on the primary riser, and more can be added with the secondary and tertiary risers. HPE fits six high-performance fans to the 24 SFF chassis as standard. Flex Slot power supplies are available at 500W, 800W and 1600W. iLO 5 provides remote console, health monitoring and firmware management.
